Event Details: Auburn University Chapter of PLANET presents a four part Lecture Series entitled, Spring Training: get your garden and landscape into shape. Cost $25 per lecture. Time: 6-7p.m at the Rouse Life Science Center Rm. 112. Rouse Life Science Center is the University Building located on the corner of Samford and College Street. Lectures: February 25th Container Gardening by Dr. Carolyn Robinson, March 4th Diagnosing Plant Problems by Dr. Harry Ponder, March 11th Fertilizing and Liming the Garden by Dr. Joe Eakes. All proceeds go towards student scholarships.

March 20th - It is Relay for Life's Dancing w/Celebrities, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. This year's line up - first lady Patsy Riley, BJ McCullough of the MPD, Sally Pitts from WSFA, Dr. Pam Strickland - a surgeon from Baptist Sourth. Organizers partnered with Jim Williams from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Admission is $50 p/person, which includes dinner and the show! Call 834-8920 for tickets!

Event Details: Fur Ball to benefit Humane Society of Elmore County- The Leadership Elmore County Class of 2010 will host a Fur Ball to benefit the Humane Society of Elmore County on March 26 from 7 p.m.- midnight at the Wetumpka Civic Center. There will be great live entertainment, a delicious meal, door prizes and a silent auction. Tickets are $60/individual or $100/pair. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Elmore County and are tax deductible.
